Sunroom walls with new windows and a door

A sunroom wall onto a deck was framed with new windows and a door, wrapped, flashed and trimmed.

Chadds FordFeb 2025

This sunroom in Chadds Ford opens onto a deck. In February 2025 its wall was framed with new windows and an exterior door.

Wrapped and flashed

The February 7 photo shows the windows and door set in the new wall, wrapped in housewrap with flashing around every opening. On a room with this much glass the flashing order is everything: sill first, then sides, then head, so each layer laps over the one below.

Trimmed out

By February 10 the trim was on and the sunroom looked finished from the deck, matching the siding and trim on the rest of the house.
